Align for Success!

CORRECT ROUTINE:
ALIGN THE CLUB BEFORE LINING UP YOUR FEET!

The pre-shot routine should consist of the player lining up the golf club BEFORE lining up the feet. On a daily basis, I observe students who line up their feet/legs BEFORE they line up the golf club. If our feet point at the target, the golf club will be aimed incorrectly. For example, think of railroad tracks and where they point. They cannot both be headed toward the same exact point. In this example, the golf ball and club are on one side of the tracks while the feet are on the other side. If the golf club is going toward the target, the feet MUST be pointed parallel left for right-handed golfers and parallel right for left-handed golfers.
