Get Benched!
Need help staying posture? Here is great drill to help you stay in position throughout the swing. All you need is a bench and a golf club...
1. Find a bench and stand so your backside is against it (as pictured)
2. Maintain contact with the bench throughout the swing
3. In the backswing (for right handed golfers), your right glute/hamstring should be consistently touching the bench
4. In the downswing (for right handed golfers), your left glute/hamstring should be consistently touching the bench
If you have a habit of standing up in your backswing or lifting (early extension) at impact, this drill is definitely for you. Please be aware of your surroundings when doing this exercise! This drill can be used on the driving range or on the golf course. Happy Swinging!
